Ensemble

A beautiful, streamlined website, reflective of the upmarket IWSC brand, which not only allowed in-house teams more control over content, but also created time-and-money saving automation of entries and awards to the International Wine and Spirit Competition.

“Thanks to the team at ecce! We are loving our fresh new look and getting lots of compliments!” - Amy Garcia, Marketing Manager, IWSC

The Challenge

The IWSC run one of the largest wine and spirit competitions in the world, receiving thousands of entries every year. The original website, built by Ecce in 2016, facilitated integration with their internal systems, along with better award and client management tools.

This time, the IWSC were looking for a clean and modern refresh of the site, despite it being fairly content heavy. We also decided to see if there was anything more we could develop to make the awards run even more smoothly.

The Solution

Using our Ensemble ecommerce platform, we designed a clean and modern website which revolves around a minimal aesthetic, with subtle animations which allow users to easily engage with the copy. With the refresh, we also used clever design elements that make the whole site much easier to navigate, allowing visitors to find what they need easily - a key element for maximising award entries.

A bespoke system for content management was also developed, giving the IWSC team far more control over the images and articles on the site. Additionally, we automated the creation of awards certificates and emails which had previously been done manually, saving time and money. Finally we also integrated the Amazon affiliate schemes to generate extra revenue for IWSC. We’ll drink to that…
